NBC 4 News came out and did a print/video piece on the rise of Girl Gamers across the country. They filmed at X3O Gaming Center in Rockville, MD as well as asked Michael Feldman, President of X3O some questions about Girl Gamers.

Quote from Print Article:
"According to the Entertainment Software Association, about 23 percent of gamers are boys under the age of 18. They are easily outnumbered by women over the age of 18 at 30 percent.

The trend is apparent at X3O Emerging Technologies gaming center where woman of all ages are showing up, many with their children.

In fact, many parents increasingly see gaming as a family affair. Sixty-six percent of those who play video games themselves said games have brought their families closer together." - Original Article..
